Promises Made. Promises Kept.

Promises Made. Promises Kept. That's the Wanda Williams way.

In just three years on the Board of Supervisors, Wanda Williams has proven that she is focused on results for the people she serves.

As our Supervisor, Wanda has:

  • Helped secure funding for nearly 300 new affordable housing units, including homes for unhoused residents who need mental health services.
  • Helped secure federal funds for Vallejo’s homeless navigation center and for the Broadway Street homeless housing project, getting unhoused residents off the streets and into supportive care with wraparound services.
  • Secured a contract for the United Way to provide additional housing and services for the unhoused with a focus on families.
  • Created the Solano Water Alliance, bringing together Solano County farmers, environmentalists, nonprofits, and local governments to present a united front in conversations with state and federal agencies to support healthy, sustainable, and flowing waterways throughout the Delta
  • Implemented a stronger buffer zone around Travis Air Force Base to ensure that future development doesn’t imperil the base’s future. Wanda continues to meet quarterly with Team Travis to ensure that the county and base are closely coordinated on base needs.
  • Created Solano County’s White Paper for securing federal funds in the Farm Bill.
  • Worked with the Vintners and Growers Association to implement the Suisun Valley Strategic Plan and Agricultural Tourism Districts.
  • Reached an agreement with AT&T for an expansion of broadband access throughout Solano County.
  • Formalized a Good Neighbor Policy that encourages applicants for land use to reach out to neighbors early in the development process to build goodwill, prevent costly delays, and mitigate any concerns early in the process.
  • Helped save small businesses as we transitioned out of the pandemic by creating a small business resiliency fund (Solano Biz-Grow) that provided loans to impacted businesses.

Supervisor Williams is currently pursuing a regional bond to fund new affordable homes and has closely followed the proposed California Forever development with a special focus on ensuring nothing jeopardizes Travis Air Force Base or existing Solano County communities.
